Trail
Training for your Horse 30
Hours Guaranteed Trail Riding $650.00 Includes
boarding - you buy or bring hay
I offer a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours training
on REAL TRAILS for your horse. The clock starts when we hit the trail. I do not charge for tacking up, trailering
time or gas. This is a fantastic deal for those of you who are anxious to get out of the arena and hit the trails. I will
trailer your horse to the trails around Shasta County such as: Cloverdale, Swasey, Clear Creek Greenway, Whiskeytown, Hornbeck,
Clikapudi and the Bend. We will encounter mountain bikers, dogs, hikers, vehicles, other equestrians, logs, water crossings,
rocks, hills, gulches and wildlife. I try to finish the training with a group ride. I also will ride out with you at least
once for personal one on one instruction at no extra cost at the end of the training. I take lots of pictures and video of
each ride and email you a link along with a progress report after each ride, so you can see what we are doing and how
your horse is progressing. You are welcome to come and visit your horse any time. I have safe fencing and a calm environment.
Please feel free to call me for more information at: 530.244.2100. References available upon request.

Photography is more than a hobby for me. It's a passion, the way
I capture and celebrate life from the saddle. On my website, I've assembled some of my favorite photographs from my Trail
Riding Adventures. When I take a horse in for trail training, I take video and pictures for you as well. So you can actually
see how your horse is doing on the trail. This will help you build confidence, from your virtual trail ride.
I love to explore and ride the Trails of Northern California. Most
trails take me through Shasta, Trinity, Siskiyou, Humboldt & Tehama Counties. For my own enjoyment, I train
and ride calm & quiet Mountain Horses. My horses Forest & Dawson are ROCKY MOUNTAIN HORSES. I am open
to training other breeds as well, but will make my decision on accepting a new trainee, based on the individual horse. I
am an active member of the Backcountry Horsemen of California ~ Shasta-Trinity Unit. I also enjoy
horse camping and packing.

My story is about realizing my dream and helping you realize
yours. Loving, living with, caring for, learning from and riding safe & calm TRAIL HORSES. As "baby boomers",
we know the clock is ticking away. I decided to follow my dream of owning and riding horses; a dream I had since I was a little
girl. After many years of just thinking about it, I finally got back into horses later in life. This is one of the best decisions
I have ever made. I still get excited and my heart fills with joy, every day I see and interact with these magnificent animals
that God created. Not only is horse ownership good
for the soul, it is good for the heart, mind, body & spirt as well. I have arthritis, and riding horses has helped me
more than words can say. It has given me a new "lease on life". I can actually ride better than I can walk~LOL.
It is such a blessing to still have something to be passionate about, a way to get out and enjoy nature at its best. For 8 years, I bought, trained and sold Haflingers. I enjoyed them
so much. They are a wonderful breed; however once I discovered Rocky Mountain Horses, my heart forever belonged to them. I
have been enjoying the Mountain Horse breeds the past 3 years. They are very similar to haffies in that they are very
"user friendly" and people oriented. The biggest differences I can tell you would be number one....they are gaited.
That means SMOOTH! And as I age, I have found that it is very important for rider comfort and also determines how long
I can ride. I can ride all day long on my Rockies, where with the Haffies, I could only ride 3 hours or so. Number two
is that they seem to have more "heart" when you ask them to do something. They are a little more forward moving
horse, and not as lazy as the haffies. They also do not have that stubborn streak that so many haffies seem to have. Feel
free to contact me with questions you might have. I love to share my experience and knowledge of horses and trail riding. With the mountainous terrain of Shasta County, CA, the Mountain Horses
seem to be the best suited for the job of trail riding. Lifestyle, rider skill and personality all play an important role
in choosing the right horse for you. Rockies are the right choice for me. I can help you find the right horse for you if you
need help. All of my horses are carefully picked from good blood lines, competent people that cared for them, with no bad
habits or behavioural issues. All are sound and like people. I train my horses for all the trail obstacles that you encounter
out there on most trails, for example: bridges, water crossings, dogs, vehicles in parking lots, mountain bikers, log crossing,
wildlife and more. My Rockies are played with regularly like a member of the family. They are taught to bathe, highline, clip
and hobble (for their safety). My Rockies are sound, calm, intelligent & fun horses, developed for pleasure trail riding.
I put my horses through many de-spooking exercises to help them develop confidence. I like to challenge their minds and get
them to think instead of react to new experiences. I try to make it as fun for the horses as it is for me. Safety for both
horse and rider is top priority. It has been my personal experience that the Rocky Mountain Horse is a great choice for a
safe & fun, family horse. The Mountain Horse breeds are my breed of choice. I will though, consider taking in other
breeds for trail training, depending on if they have the disposition and character to make a good trail horse. I can make
this assessment, usually within one hour, in the round pen.
